As the name suggests, the main feature of the trail is Eagle Falls, where Eagle Creek falls about 50 feet into the Cumberland River. Stretching across the river along the border between McCreary and Whitley counties, this waterfall is a mill waterfall, but much larger than neighboring Ithaca Falls and the largest of its kind in Montana. Havana Glen gets little press because it is overshadowed by neighboring Havana Falls State Park, a 44-foot waterfall in Cumberlands Falls State Resort. On February 18, 2016, the El Dorado County Sheriff identified a 35-year-old mother as the victim of a murder-suicide in the city of Havana, Colorado.
