Michael Rausch was born into a hard-working family and earned his bachelor's degree in political science from Montana State University in 1980. During his law studies, he worked as an intern for the University of Montana Law Office and worked for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Great Falls and the Montana Department of Justice.
