Close to Heaven


My Uncle Bill always said, "A day away from the mountains, is a day wasted." I've felt that way myself, all my life. When I'm not in the mountains, I yearn to be there. I can be there whenever I choose when I'm painting them!

Close to Heaven - My Uncle Bill always said,

How Many? - How many deer do you see in this image? I took this photo at Holland Lake. A doe came through camp, I followed her into the forest where she joined members of her herd. I kept after them for a long ways and at one point, several of them stopped and looked around to see where I was.
Baby Face - This new foal was in a pasture near Vaughn when we took photos of him. He was so cute, wanting to be brave enough to leave his dam's side, but not quite able to do it.
